As a fiscal conservative and small business owner I have learned through the years how to be a good steward with the people’s money. As your Alderman at Large, it is my mission to continue to expand our businesses by attracting a strong workforce that can live and raise their children in our small town. I desire to create a communication line between the citizens and those in publicservice where needs and concerns can be addressed with transparency. Investing in our public safety and maintaining Brandon’s superiority in service offered by those who serve in the uniform is a priority. I would like to see our growing city create incentives to attract new development of businesses wanting to call Brandon home and invest in our community. Just like most, I want Brandon to be better than yesterday.

MEET ERIC

What an honor it is to be asked by so many to run as a candidate for your Alderman at Large in Brandon. Very humbling to me and my family to be considered to help lead Brandon forward. I have worked in public service for over 20 years beginning my career at the age of 18. I appreciate the experience that has come with that from managing budgets, reducing spending, overseeing large building projects and much more, my service to the public has been rewarding. I often reflect back when I have moments to think on how many blessings God has given this ole boy. I owe everything to Heaven.

I have been married to my wife, Ola, for 21 years. She has worked full time in the financial industry for 17 years and is currently employed with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. We have two children, Amelia (20) and Devin Ty (12) who we have raised here in Brandon and both are products of the Brandon School District. Amelia is attending Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. Devin is in the 6th grade at Brandon Middle School.

Our family also has a small business in Brandon, Sno Biz. Our community has supported this location now for over 22 years. I can’t say it enough, thank all of you for supporting our locally owned and operated business. I am asking for your vote in the upcoming election for Alderman at Large. I want to employ my conservative values and put them to work for you in our city government. My family and I ask for your prayers as we travel on this journey, a few extra would be fantastic.

My name is Eric Fox and I believe we can be better than yesterday.

Eric

"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD"

Came home late, she had the anniversary dinner prepared. Philly Cheesesteak! We created a home together these last 22 years. Two great kids, a home, and a few memories. God has been good to us. We are a fit, and what God puts together let no man put asunder. I love my family with everything I have.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and never give up. The intransitive verb "Continue" means to maintain without interruption a condition, course, or action. Never short change your work. Give them your best performance on every level.

Late Sunday evening I left the office hoping to make it home in time to see the folks. I decided to make a loop through the stadium and make one last check as I walked to my vehicle. The lights were on so I stood for just a moment to stare. As most do, I imagined the story of our lives. When the stadium is empty, the show has ended, and time continues what will they say about us. I shut the lights off, and made a short promise to Heaven. "Let's give them our very best in the last rounds" ... See MoreSee Less

When you become overwhelmed you must make the adjustment. A unique skillset that champion fighters possess is the absolute ability to adjust their feet under immense pressure and stress. This in turn forces their opponent to begin muscle fatigue due to the lack of oxygen they have from their overzealous behavior. The opponent's lack of knowledge and skill becomes immediate self defeat. When you have done all you know to do, keep moving your feet..... ... See MoreSee Less

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him

Heaven will not look like what many of us thought it would appear.
