As a fiscal conservative and small business owner I have learned through the years how to be a good steward with the people’s money. As your Alderman at Large, it is my mission to continue to expand our businesses by attracting a strong workforce that can live and raise their children in our small town. I desire to create a communication line between the citizens and those in publicservice where needs and concerns can be addressed with transparency. Investing in our public safety and maintaining Brandon’s superiority in service offered by those who serve in the uniform is a priority. I would like to see our growing city create incentives to attract new development of businesses wanting to call Brandon home and invest in our community. Just like most, I want Brandon to be better than yesterday.

What an honor it is to be asked by so many to run as a candidate for your Alderman at Large in Brandon. Very humbling to me and my family to be considered to help lead Brandon forward. I have worked in public service for over 20 years beginning my career at the age of 18. I appreciate the experience that has come with that from managing budgets, reducing spending, overseeing large building projects and much more, my service to the public has been rewarding. I often reflect back when I have moments to think on how many blessings God has given this ole boy. I owe everything to Heaven.

I have been married to my wife, Ola, for 21 years. She has worked full time in the financial industry for 17 years and is currently employed with Raymond James & Associates, Inc. We have two children, Amelia (20) and Devin Ty (12) who we have raised here in Brandon and both are products of the Brandon School District. Amelia is attending Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. Devin is in the 6th grade at Brandon Middle School.

Our family also has a small business in Brandon, Sno Biz. Our community has supported this location now for over 22 years. I can’t say it enough, thank all of you for supporting our locally owned and operated business. I am asking for your vote in the upcoming election for Alderman at Large. I want to employ my conservative values and put them to work for you in our city government. My family and I ask for your prayers as we travel on this journey, a few extra would be fantastic.

My name is Eric Fox and I believe we can be better than yesterday.

I met Chief Darin Schierbaum (Atlanta Police) when he was a rookie officer in 2006 in street gang school. He was appointed as Chief in late summer of 2022. I wholeheartedly agree with his words concerning recent events that have set law enforcement back based on the actions of a few. ... See MoreSee Less
